JHIKARGACHA DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION (JDO)
JDO is the abbreviation of Jhikargacha Development Organization. It’s a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, and non-sectarian, voluntary development organization. It was established on 1st July 1997 aiming to social-economic emancipation of the underprivileged in the Southwestern part of the country in Bangladesh. Our founding Executive Director,
Md. Moniruzzaman Monir. He is a dedicated social worker. He has contributed to numerous Development initiatives for underprivileged people in the Southwestern part of the country in Bangladesh And has been engaged in many Development works total Bangladesh. The working area of JDO involves scenarios where women face social disadvantage and economic vulnerability. They are deprived of legal, human, and democratic rights, as well as employment opportunities. Unfortunately, women's and children's rights are violated in families, communities, and institutions. Malnutrition is a widespread issue among them. Additionally, health services are inadequate, and they have not received proper health education. We believe that the participatory process is the means to develop the socio-economic condition of people at this moment. JDO's focus is on helping marginalized individuals, such as women, men, and children from backward communities, including transgender, disabled, tribal, and Dalit communities. These communities often lack proper guidance and logistical support to develop their resources for livelihoods and technology. Therefore, JDO is conducting various activities to support their development. Additionally, I am motivated to contribute to these development activities extensively with government and private support.
